Zahir-ud-din Muhammad (Babur)’s greatest
contribution is manifested in these qualities:

vision- even as Sheibani Khan drove him out of his beloved Samarkhand, Babur had the vision to seek newer pastures, and grab the opportunity offered by Hindustan.

Perseverence-in victory and defeat, he never stopped trying. He probably only won two significant battles in his life; a) Panipat I where he defeated Ibrahim Lodhi, and b) Khanua, where he overcame the fierce Rana Sanga.

Babur defeated Ibrahim lodhi in first battle of panipat in 1526 to start Mughal empire

His further contributions mainly include :

Defeating Rana Sabha and Medini rai who were strong rulers . It wouldn’t be possible to establish Mughal empire without these accomplishments .

If there was no Babur then India might have never been integrated till the arrival of Britishers .

Showed the right use of cavalry .

Didn’t mix religion with politics .

Most importantly wrote everything in his book Babur Nama.
