Sociology and anthropology are one in that, sociology is the study of the human society in relation to man himself. Anthropology is  the study of human society and human behaviors in the past and in the present.

As you can realize out of their definition, they both involve the study of human beings in relation to their society.

Hence this are disciplines that rely on each other on information, they are basically one.
