According to Chinese legend, Empress Hsi Ling Shi, wife of Emperor Huang Ti (also called the Yellow Emperor), was the first person to accidentally discover silk as weavable fibre.
So, "Empress Hsi Ling Shi" was the inventor of Silk.

chinese legends gives the title goddess of lady to HSI LING wife of mythicalyellow emporer who ruled in about 3000 BC she is regarded as to introduce silkworm rearing
