The concept of zero and its place value or its treatment as a number in India came much earlier than in the Babylon.
However, Indian astrologist Aryabhatta introduced the number zero and gave its concept which means nothing.
Zero is basically understood as the concept of nothing or having nothing which developed back in 500 AD and was modified by many mathematicians.
