Ali was an old Coachmen. He went to the Post office daily in anticipation for receiving a letter from his daughter Mirrom. Who had left him and gone to Punjab, after getting married to a soilder. His earnestness arose from the fact that he had no information about her for nearly five years.

The chapter deals with the story of a old young man Ali who went to the post office daily in search for his daughter's letter.

Ali was a brilliant hunter who left hunting after he realized the pain behind separation. He had only one daughter Miriam who went to Punjab after her marriage and Ali was left all alone.

He went to the post office daily in hope of getting a letter from her daughter but unfortunately was never able to get it.
