Allauri Sitaram Raju was the leader of Gorilla Warfare Movement in Andhra Paradesh.
The tribal group of Andhra Pradesh were forced out of forest and made to work for free in building roads. This agitated the tribes and they thought that their birth right is taken away from them. Raju came up and became their leader to fight against the british. It is assumed that he had some supernatural powers like he can heal people, survive bullet shots etc. He followed gandhian ideology of purna swaraj but thought that swaraj can be won only by violence.
Later he was arrested and exempted.
Hope it helps!
