Ab'ul Hasan Yamīn ud-Dīn Khusrau(1253 – 1325) (Urdu:ابوالحسن یمین الدین خسرو‎‎,Hindi:अमीर ख़ुसरो,Persian:امیر خسرو دهلوی‎‎(, better known asAmīr Khusrow, was a South AsianSufimusician, poet and scholar. He wasan iconic figure in the cultural history of theIndian subcontinent. He was amysticand a spiritual disciple ofNizamuddin AuliyaofDelhi. He wrote poetry primarily inPersian, but also inHindavi. A dictionary in verse, theḲhāliq Bārī, containing Persian words explained inHindaviterms is often attributed to him.[1]Khusrow is sometimes referred to as the "parrot of India".[2]
