Andreas Rebmann was residing in the city of Mainzand and was a member of German Jacobin group. His most famous contribution was the cover of a German Almanac where the image of the Bastille in France, stormed by the rebels was placed next to a similar fortress which represented the tyrannic rule in the German provinces of Kassel. The image was highlighted by the slogan " the people must seize their own freedom".
