Answer:

1) Antonio was a young merchant of Venice,he went to borrow money from the some usurer who used to lend money at very high rates.

2) Bassanio was Antonio's friend , he wants three thousands duccats to marry a lady whom he dearly loved and whose father had left her a large estate.

3) Shylock was a wealthy usurer . he was a hard hearted man and disliked by Antonio. Shylock too hated Antonio so when he got the chance to take revenge from Antonio, he showed his eagerness to cut off Antonio's flesh.

4) she said:This bond is forfeited, and by this the Jew may lawfully claim a pound of flesh, to be by him cut off nearest Antonio's heart.? Then she said to Shylock,Be merciful; take the money and bid me tear the bond.Through this revelation, Portia shows her character as a woman who knows what she wants and honestly declares her feelings.
