Aryabhatta was the first major mathematician-astronomers from the classical age of Indian maths and Indian astronomy.

He was born on 476 AD in pataliputra and died on 550 AD in India. One of his remarkable and notable book is Aryabhatiya.

Aryabhatta's contribution in the field of maths is unparalleled. He was the one who deduced the approximate value of pi which he founded it to be 3.14. He also derived the correct formula for calculating the areas of triangles and circles. He played a very important role in the formation of the table of sines.
