Birbal, was a Hindu advisor in the court of the Mughal emperor, Akbar. He is mostly known in the Indian subcontinent for the folk tales which focus on his wit.

Birbal was the minister of Akbar he was very brilliant. Birbal was born as Mahesh das in 1582 in a very poor brahman family in a place called trivikrampur situated on the bank of the river yamuna Birbal was a prime member of the group of 9 members known as Nava Ratans.
