2 This is the story of a sly fox and a silly goat. Once upon a time a fox slipped and fell into a deep well. He made
all attempts to come out of the well but in vain. But the fox did not give up. Cunning as he was, he continued to
walt for someone to turn up. As luck would have it a goat came by and peeped into the well. The fox
immediately asked him, "Look my friend, the water in the well is so cool and refreshing come and see for
yourself
The goat was silly and without a second thought he jumped in. After he had drink of the cold water, he tried to
get out but the walls were high and he could not jump out. The fox suggested that the goat stand on his hind legs
and allow the fox to climb up on his head and get out. The fox promised to pull him out of the well once he got
out of it. The silly goat readily agreed and let the fox climb up on his head and jump out of the well. The moment
the fox was out he made no attempt to pull the goat out and ran away. The poor goat was left alone to fend for
himself but was drowned after some time.
