Birsa munda was the leader of tribal Munda group and was born on 15 November 1857 In ulihatu, Ranchi. BIRSA was aware of the British plot of exploiting India 's natural wealth. He was deeply hurt by the implementation of Forest Act of 1882. Under the provision of this act, British government notified all wastelands of village as Protected Forests in 1883-1884
