chandragupta maurya was a founder of maurya empire. His father was sarvarthasiddhi maurya. He was born poor cattle family. His main aim was (akhand bharat) one india. Ashok samrat the great emperor was chandraguptas grandson.

Chandragupta mauryan was the founder of a Mauryan Empire in 4th century .
He over threw the Nandas from magadha and greek satraps from the north-west frontier.
Chandragupta empire extent from Kabul and kadahar in the north -west to mysore in the south ;and from Bengal in the east to Saurashtra in the west.
Acc. to the jain tradition after ruling for 24 years ,he renounced the world.
