In todays time, the work foreigner is used for the person who is not from our country. But in past, its meaning was very different. In past, the tern "foreigner" was used for a person who does not belong to a say, in a given village or community. For example - A city-dweller might have regarded a forest dweller as a foreigner but two people livingin a same village were not foreigner for each other.
