Dantidurga (735 – 756 AD) was the founder of Rashtrakuta Empire of Manyakheta, located in present day Karnataka.
Inscriptions and records show that he was also known by the name Dantivarman and he defeated the mighty Chalukyas, who ruled the southern and central India. Later on, he defeated the kings of Lata, Malwa, Kalinga etc. to consolidate and establish his kingdom.
King Dantidurga’s capital was Gulbarga, in Karnataka.
