Demeter was the Greek goddess of agriculture. She was the second daughter of the Titans Rhea and Kronos after Hestia, the goddess of the hearth. She had a child named Persephone with Zeus, the god of lightning, who later on became the eternal wife of Hades, the god of death and the King of the Underworld.

Demeter is the Greek goddess of agriculture. She was one of the 3 daughters of Kronos and Rhea. Her Roman form is Ceres. She and Zeus had a child named Persephone. Persephone married Hades, the lord of the Underworld.

Demeter even had a child with Poseidon, which turned out to be a horse, named Arion.
