Duke was the dog in the story who helps Hooper to get up again.He was the dog of incalculable enthusiasm.
He loved to have fun but when he realise his master's serious problem he took upon himself and helped charles to get back to his feet . For that he help master to walk again step by step. After practice Hooper get back to his feet.
