Galileo Galilei was a well-known scientist who invented the "Law of Pendulum" that contributed to the production of watches. He also invented the barometer. He also put forward the laws of falling bodies.

■ Galileo Gallei was an Italian Polymath who gave his great contribution in physics.
● This great scientist gave his theory which is popularly known as " Newton's First Law of Motion ".
● Galileo's Concept of motion : Galileo's Experiment states that if there is no friction then the object will keep on moving forever and ever and ever.
● He gave concept of " inertia " which is resistance of object in its state of rest or uniform linear motion.
● Sir Isaac Newton developed Galileo's theory and is today called Newton's First law of motion.
● Galileo also made his own teliscope which was of great use.
● With help of Galileo's telescope and Kepler's three laws, Newton developed universal law of gravitation.
