Gutenberg was a German goldsmith, printer and publisher who invented printing to Europe. His introduction of the mechanical printing is known to have started the printing revolution.
Around 1450 Gutenberg invented printing press with movable blocks with letters on it. This type of printing not only reduced the time for printing but also brought down the cost of printing and is one of the biggest contribution in the field of printing. The book first published by Gutenberg was The Bible and till date is famously known as Gutenberg’s Bible.
Through age’s newer form of printers were developed based on the technology adapted by Gutenberg.
