Hey There! Hammurabi was the sixth king of the First Babylonian Dynasty, reigning from 1792 BC to 1750 BC. He was preceded by his father, Sin-Muballit, who abdicated due to failing health. During his reign, he conquered the city-states of Elam, Larsa, Eshnunna, and Mari. He is best known for the development of a code of laws known as the Code of Hammurabi, which was used to regulate Mesopotamian society.
