Iltutmish was a slave and son-in-law of Qutubuddin Aibak.He occupied The throne of Delhi in 1211 after removing Aram Bakhsh (son of Aibak).Hewas a very capable ruler and is regarded as the real founder of the ‘Delhi sultanate' .
