1) The Jacobin's club was named after St. Jacobs of Paris(a former convent).
2)The members of this club belonged mainly to less prosperous sections of the society.
3)these included small shopkeepers,artisans such as shoemakers,pastry cooks,watch makers,printers as well as servants and daily wage workers .
4)Their leader was Maximilian Robespierre .
5)A large group of Jacobins started to wear long stripped trousers like dock workers to set set themselves apart from the nobles who wore knee-breeches. These Jacobins were called san-culottes.
