John a pescud describes the best sellers in a sarcastic manner. according to him all bestsellers were similar and were not a realistic. In his opinion such novels for setting imaginative backdrops. In most of them the hero was an American wealthy person who fell in love with a Royal Princess from Europe. Such things really happened in real life.

Pescud believed that the stories about best-sellers were not realistic. The themes revolved around romances between royals and commoners, fencing, imaginative encounters and all the stuff that never happens in real life. In real life, one would always select a prospective bride from a similar background.
