Syed Moinuddin Chishti was a famous Sufi Sant. He settled at Ajmer he lived a simple ascetic life based on priority and devotion to God. His main objective was to help the people to lead a life of devotion to God. He died in 1235 CE. Moinuddin's status as a saint reached its peak under Akbar, who was greatly devoted to him.
