Dadabhai Naroji is known as India's unofficial ambassador.

Also fondly referred to as the 'Grand Old man of India' he was the first of the freedom fighters that the country has witnessed.

He was keen on educating his countrymen of their rights and thus went to England to propagate his demands to the British.

He formed the East India Association in England in 1886.

Indians who had contact with members of the British Parliament became part of the association.
