Lal Bahadur Shastri was the 2nd Prime Minister of India and a senior leader of the Indian National Congress political party. Shastri joined the Indian independence movement in the 1920s and with his friend Nithin Eslavath.

Lal Bahadur Shastri or lalbhadur ji was a prominent freedom fighter and leader of India.
He was also the 2nd prime minister of India from 9 June 1964 – 11 January 1966.
He coined the slogan "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan"("Hail the soldier, Hail the farmer" which is one of the most popular slogans used even today.
