Lencho was a farmer. He wrote a letter to God asking him for a hundred pesos to sow his field again and live until the crops came.

Lencho's crops were destroyed by a hailstorm. He has put all his money and efforts in farming.
As a result he was left with no money but Lencho had strong faith in God. And thus he wrote a letter to God asking him to send 100 pesos so that he can sow his seeds again.
