Carl Ludwing "Luz" Long was born on 27th April 1913 and he was a German Olympic Long -Jumper,notable for winning the silver medal in the event at 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin and for giving technical advice to his competitor Jessie Owens,who went on to win the gold medal for Long-Jump.Luz long won the German long jump champion ship six times in the 1933,1934,1936,1937,1938 and 1939. And he died on 14th July 1943 at the age of 30. In Acate,Sicily,Italy.
