MAHARANA PRATAP SINGH was the ruler of mewar - a powerful rajput kingdom of those times when the turks , mughals and other foreign invaders invaded us.
He was the son of Rana Udai Singh and his first queen Rani Jaiwantha Bai Solangini.
He was the only ruler of mewar who was entitled as MAHARANA.
He married his first and most loved wife MAHARANI AJABDE PAWAR who bore the next ruler of mewar RANA AMAR SINGH at the age of 17 .
He fought against Jalalluddin Muhammad Akbar the Mughal ruler and won 80% of meawr before his death at the age of 56.
MAHARANA died a natural death and was not killed .
He was considered as a great rajput warrior.
he was often reffered as  'EKLING KA AVATAR" meaning an avatar of lord shiva.
He followed all the principles of rajputs throughout his life and his mother was the one who taught him this.
Rana pratap also had a horse named CHETAK on whise death he cries for almost 3 days
