Mrs Pumphrey was grateful to Dr. Herriot. He had told her that a surgery was needed to bring back Tricki to his original health. After about a fortnight , Tricki was back to Mrs. Pumphrey as playful as he was earlier. This made her show gratitude to Dr. Herriot.
