NIZAM UL MULK ASAFJAH:

• Nizam ul Mulk was the founder of Asafjahi dynasty.

• He was a mansabdar at the age of seven under Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.

• He was entitled as "Chin Qilich Khan" or "boy sword man" by Aurangzeb.

• His real name was Mir Qamaruddin and be belonged to Persia.

• After the dealth of Aurangazeb, he was appointed as Nizam of Oudh by Farukh Siyar.

• Farukh Siyar awarded him title "Nizam ul Mulk" thus he became the first Nizam.

Mubarizz ud Daula who was appointed as Deccan subedar was deafeated by Mir Qamaruddin in the battle of Shekkar Kheda.

• For this, Mohammed Shah, the then Mughal emperor recognised his independence and gave him the title "ASAFJAH".

• Thus, this dynasty came to be known as "Asafjahi dynasty".

• The Asafjahi rulers ruled Bijapur, Bidar, Berar, Golconda, etc under the Deccan Subha.
