Kittur Chennamma was the Queen of Kittur a princely state in Karnataka. She was born on 23rd October 1778 in India and died on 21st February 1821 in 1829.
She was a first Indian female ruler to lead an armed rebellion against the British East India company.

Kittur Chennamma was the Indian queen of Kittur, a princely state in present-day Karnataka. She led an armed rebellion against the British East India Company in 1824 in defiance of the doctrine of lapse in an attempt to maintain Indian control over the region, but was defeated and died imprisoned.
SHE WAS ARRESTED IN 18 24 AND DIED IN PRISON IN 1829.
SHE LOST HER LIFE FOR HER VILLAGE KITTUR AND TO GET INDEPENDENCE.
