Answer: Raziya Sultan was daughter of Shams-ud-din Iltutmish who succeeded her father. Nobles and Ulema could not accept Raziya as Sultan as they founded humiliating to work under her.

Sultana Raziya, wrongly attributed as Razia Sultana, or popularly and again wrongly called as Razia Sultan was the Sultan of Delhi from 10 October 1236 to 14 October 1240.Nobles did not want a women leader to rule the regin and so she was put to death in the year 1240
