Rinerprest was an infectious viral disease of cattle,giraffes, buffaloes, wild beasts etc. It was considered the most lethal and life threatening epidemic that hit southern Africa. It killed thousands of cattle , oxen and many other domestic animals.It was beneficial for the Europeans as it helped them colonize Africans.
