robespierre was the leader of the jacobin club



the four steps taken by him for the equality are;

1) the use of more expensive white flour was forbidden all citizens were required to eat the pain d'égalite' ( equality bread) a loaf made of wholewheat

2) meat and bread were rationed

3) equality was also sought to be practised through forms of speech and address

4) instead of the traditional monseiur (sir) and madame (madam) all french men and women were hence forth citoyen and citoyenne
