Acharya Hemchandra was a famous Jain scholar, poet and polymath. When his reputation reached to the court of Jaisinh, Siddhraj Jaisinh requested him to write a grammar superior to that of Bhoj. With in a year, Acharya Hemchandra wrote an exhaustive volume of Grammar entitled Siddhem Shabdanushashan containing one lakh twenty five thousand Shlokas covering the grammar of Sanskrit and Apabhramsa languages as well.
