There was many king who ruled our country India but Ashoka the great is consider as the first king who ruled almost complete India.

His empire was extended to Afghanistan in north, Assam in east, Gujarat in west and Karnataka in south. He ruled India from 269 BC {when he became the king} to 232 BC {till his death}.
