Banda singh bahadur was his real name as he was the sikh military commander & he had been given the name as "Madho Das".

Baba Banda Singh Bahadur was his real name he was a Punjabi military officer and he also had two other names that are firstly it was Lashman Das and then it was Madho Das... he got the name of Banda Bahadur from tenth Guru of Sikhs Guru Gobind Singh Ji...... because he was so brave and in Punjabi the meaning of the word brave is Bahadur
