Guru Nanak-the founder of Sikhism was the bhakti saint who first joined sufis and later bhakti movement.

Guru nanak was very much influenced by Islam and its principle of equality. He found his ideas resembling with Islam. He visited all pilgrimage places of Islam including Mecca. After his death both the Muslims and Sikhs claim his body and now-a- days his shrine is visited by all Muslim communities as well.
