The conditions of the South were exceptionally prosperous and rich sand Sultan Alauddin Khalji needed cash for the culmination of his plans and for dispensing the pay rates of the warriors.
He knew well about the thriving of the South after his first fruitful expedition to Deogiri in 1296 a.d.
So he made an arrangement to vanquish the South with the end goal to get the required cash.
