The chairman of Drafting commitee which set up our constitution was B.R Ambedkar.
On 29 august 1947, this committee was set up to draft the Indian constitution.But first meeting was held by constituent assembly on 9th August 1946.
Committee consisted of 284 members which took 2 years 11 months and 18 days to complete the Constitution on 26th November and was signed by all members on 25th january and eventually implemented on 26th january 1950.
This marks 26th jan as our republic day...
