Humayun , was the father of Akbar.

Additional information :-

  • Nasir uddin Muhammad Humayun was the second Mughal emperor who ruled from 1530–1540.

  • He was exiled out of India for 15years by Sher Shah Suri who defeated him in two consecutive battles -Battle of Kanauj and Chausa. With the help of Bairam Khan, he entered Delhi, defeated thr present king and captured his lost kingdom.

  • He died a year later in 1556 due to an accidental fall from his library located inside the Purana Qila complex.

  • He was the son of Babar- founder of Mughal rule in India and father of the greatest Mughal emperor who ruled in India- Jalal uddin Muhammad Akbar.
