Answer:
Communist revolutionary Vladimir Lenin became the first leader of the Soviet Union after overthrowing the monarch Russian empire. He ruled from 6 July 1923 until his death on 21 January 1924. He was then succeeded by Joseph Stalin despite Lenin's final wish which was not to make Stalin the next leader. Stalin as the second leader of the Soviet Union decided to put Lenin's body in a public tomb which a lot of people thought was weird. Stalin also ruled with an iron fist and even banishing Leon Trotsky who was very popular with the Soviets and was thought to succeed Vladimir Lenin.
