As per Wiki, first software was written by Ada Lovelace in the year 1842 (Check: In 1842, Ada Lovelace Wrote the World's First Computer Program )(As an appendix of her translation of an Italian work to English on the Analytical Engine. Check: What is the first software ever made ) , but was never created.
