Correct answer: A) Robert Hooke

Robert Hooke was scientist who discovered a honeycomb like structure in a cork slice by using a ancient compound microscope.

He observed a slice of thin cork under the microscope and witnessed a minute space, which look like a small rooms combined together.

A cell is the smallest unit of life, it is often refereed to as building block of life. It consists of cytoplasm enclosed by the membrane, which consists of bio -molecules such as nucleic acids and proteins.
