He also improved the "microscope" and lead 'crucial foundation' for microbiology. He first recorded and muscles 'fibre', 'bacteria', 'spermatozoa' and 'blood flow' in capillaries.
Whereas the 'cell' was first 'discovered' by 'Robert Hooke'. After 150 years, microscopy became crucial to understand different roles of microbes causing infection and also to understand the various biochemical reaction.

Muscle Fibres and Bacteria
Explanation:
- Van Leeuwenhoek found "protozoa" the single-celled organisms and he called them "animalcules"
- He also improved the magnifying lens and established foundation for microbiology
- He is often cited to as the primary microbiologist to examine muscle fibers, microscopic organisms, spermatozoa and blood stream in capillaries
- Muscle fibers are long, cylindrical cell and hollow cells giving skeletal muscles their striped or striated appearance
- Muscle fibers are the essential segment liable for muscle contraction
