The Jacobin Club was originally founded in 1789 by anti-royalist deputies (Critics of the constitution) who belonged to Brittany.
The Jacobin Club was then headed by Maximilien Robespierre, who gave a big hand in attaining freedom from monarchy. They stormed into the Palace of Versailles and then massacred the King’s guards, holding the King as hostage himself. This was a great move and then the King was executed publicly at Place De La Concorde with the charge of treason, implied by a court.
