Vasco Da Gama was the founder of India.

  • With four ships off the coast of Calicut in Kerala, Vasco Da Gama, a Portuguese sailor, was the first European to arrive in India.
  • Christopher Columbus, who set off five years before Da Gama in search of a sea route to India, wound up in the Americas, which were then unknown.
  • By that time, India had already been invaded by foreign forces, including Alexander the Great, the Arabs, and the Mongols.
  • They did, however, all travel by land, with the Khyber River passing through.
