who was the founder of the holy city of amritsar

Amritsar (literally, the tank of nectar of immortality) was founded in 1577 AD by the fourth Sikh guru, Guru Ram Das. When it was founded it was named as 'Guru Ka Chak' and after the death of Guru Ram Das it was named as 'Ramdasspura' .
